EZ Tag, has provided excellent customer service to the DC Department of Public Works (DPW) for the past four years. EZ Tag’s Parking Enforcement product has been very stable and has fully met expectations from DC/DPW Parking Services Administration. From a Support standpoint EZ Tag’s Analysts are always available to immediately address any ongoing operations issues that surface. It is a rare situation indeed when we do not immediately get to speak to a EZ Tag Support Analyst whenever we call the EZ Tag Support Line. Most issues are solved quickly and to our complete satisfaction. Whenever product enhancements or System upgrades are delivered EZ Tag takes the necessary steps to ensure that the changes are first thoroughly tested and deployed in a staggered & controlled manner in order to minimize the risk to our large Ongoing Operations of 300 Handheld Computers employing MES Ticketing Software.

Recently, we especially appreciated EZ Tag’s initiative to visit DPW and conduct an information session, with our Senior Management in attendance, to advise DPW of the latest technological innovations available in the Parking Enforcement arena. In summary, we highly value our relationship with EZ Tag and look forward to working closely with EZ Tag on future initiatives in order to both improve & maintain our Parking Enforcement Operation at peak levels of efficiency & feature rich content.

VAUGHAN INTRODUCES ONLINE PAYMENT OPTION
FOR PARKING TICKETS
VAUGHAN, ON – The City of Vaughan has launched a website application for paying parking tickets online. This new feature is an example of e-government services that employ web-based computer technologies to allow the electronic exchange of information between the City and its residents and businesses.

“We are introducing e-government services to improve the efficiency of our service delivery and for the convenience of our residents,” said Mayor Linda Jackson. “This is just one example of how the City of Vaughan is moving forward to provide better access to public services.”

The Ticket Online Payment service is available on the City’s website at www.vaughan.ca under the Featured Project section or the Online Services pull-down menu.

Users are required to enter their parking ticket number, licence plate information and the province where the licence plate was issued. Users then select the ticket or tickets they wish to pay and enter their credit card information. Acceptance or refusal of payments is controlled by the financial institution that issued the credit card. There is a $2 convenience fee charged to the user’s credit card which is collected by the provider of the service.

The online payment feature is provided by PayVaughanTicket.com, owned by EZ Tag Inc. User information is not shared with third parties and computer “cookies” are not used by PayVaughanTicket.com. They employ a secure connection using the latest technology to ensure the safe processing of transactions.
