EZTag Expands Line of Mobile Printers with the Introduction of the QL Series From Zebra Technologies.

PLATTSBURG, NY, June 10, 2003 - EZTag, a full service parking enforcement solutions provider, annouced today that is has expanded it line of mobile printers with the introductions of two QL Series mobile printers, the QL320 & QL420.

The QL Series incorporates many features that make it such a popular series. Weighing about 2lbs. (907g), the QL Series offers center-loading media, print speeds of up to four-inches-per-second, a long-lasting Lithium-Ion battery, and an optional LCD panel. Users also can opt for a forklift mount and fanfold bin, as these printers can handle fanfold materials for extended media capacity. Its rubber-infused housing and its 5-foot (1.5m) resistance to multiple drops without the need for a separate case, make the QL Series a perfect fit for the harshest environments, including manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, route accounting and shipping/receiving.

With the next generation of mobile computing heading towards wireless communication, EZTag felt that it was only a natural progression to update our mobile printers with new wireless capabilities. Designed to withstand these rigors, the QL series offers the widest range of communications options in the industry-from cable to wireless networking. With easily interchangeable QuickLink radio modules, these printers can be configured for 802.11b wireless LAN via Compact Flash or PCMCIA and additional modules support for WI/FI and BluetoothTM protocols.

The recent focus on data security in the retail, healthcare, and travel industries, has made it critical to support enhanced security protocols in any device connected to a network. Protecting our customers' data is critical. The QL series of mobile printers have been developed to support 128-bit WEP encryption as well as custom protocols including LEAP and Kerberos.
